Hello

I am grateful for the opportunities I have had to gain and work with a variety of perspectives.  My Master of Teaching degree led to over 20 years and counting of professional teaching experience in public schools and virtual schools as well as founding and teaching in a homeschool cooperative.  My course instruction experience includes beginning level Spanish language study for various age groups as well as a course in which students explore 6 different languages and cultures.  Besides studying abroad and traveling, my love for learning about different cultures led me to spend two decades as a dance instructor, semi-professional performer, and artistic director of Treasures in the Sand, a Mid-Eastern dance troupe dedicated to serving communities through fun, cultural education, and movement. For the past few years I have served as a workshop facilitator, teaching employee and community groups about a variety of topics related to multiple perspectives, including living with food allergies, neurodiversity, and team building.  Personally, I have two amazing special needs children, have spent portions of my life in a wheelchair with limited mobility, and enjoy teaching others about seeing different perspectives and creating more inclusive, accessible, and welcoming environments.  I strive to continue my love for lifelong learning and building and supporting connections from many walks of life.
